Black History Month
October was first designated as Black History Month in the UK in 1987. Its aim is to remind us of the achievements and contributions that Black people have made throughout the UK’s history.
At Genistar, we strive to be an inclusive company where everyone has the same opportunity, regardless of colour. We are fortunate to have many Black leaders, and we truly value their input and contributions.
In honour of Black History Month, we would like to celebrate all of our amazing Black leaders who have made such a tremendous contribution to the success of our company. We are especially proud of the three below who have reached the Senior Vice President level. Barbara was one of the founders of Genistar. She was an accountant, so she knows how money works.

Bevin came to Genistar from a medical background. He now helps people maintain their financial health.

Our CEO’s Birthday Wish
Genistar’s CEO, Jeff Lestz, will be celebrating his birthday soon, and his wish is to raise money for a charity called Centrepoint. Centrepoint is dedicated to giving homeless young people a brighter future. This charity is close to his heart because he experienced homelessness himself as a teenager. He would like to invite everyone to join him in supporting this worthy organization. To that end, he has set up a JustGiving page for any contributions you might wish to make. You can read more about Centrepoint here.
In addition, Jeff and Margo will be personally matching the total amount raised, up to £10,000. So whatever is raised on JustGiving, will be doubled. Please see the short video below to find out more.
